Renee Downey Bennett

Memorial service for Renee Downey Bennett, 63, of Chico was July 13 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with the Rev. Larry Whitaker officiating.

Bennett died Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Chico.

Born May 21, 1949, in Piqua, Ohio, to Harold “Jack” and Oletha (Hardman) Downey, she married Billy Eugene Bennett May 7, 1991, in Decatur and worked for Wal-Mart.

She was preceded in death by brother James “Jim” Downey.

Bennett was survived by her husband of 21 years; daughter Christine Neagle and husband, Michael, of Chico; son Rodney Hall and wife, Victoria, of Chico; stepdaughter Audra Bennett of Weatherford; grandchildren Tyler, Jordan, Haley, Makinzy, Tanner, Miranda, Jesse and Kristy; sister Gail Winters of Michigan; sister-in-law Janice Rowland and husband, Jim, of May; and other family members.
