Funeral for Raymond Minor Headley, 65, of Paradise is 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, at First Baptist Church in Boyd with the Reverends Gary Sessions and Mark Autry officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery.
Headley died Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Decatur.
Born Aug. 8, 1946, in Leeds, Ala., to Alonzo and Ethyl (Pate) Headley, he was a truck driver. He married Bobbie Lenore Brown Nov. 8, 1964, in Shreveport, La. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Zion Temple Assembly of God.
Headley was preceded in death by brothers Carl Headley, Richard Headley and John Edwin Headley; and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife; son Bobby Headley and wife, Georgia, of Paradise; daughters Barbara Stice and husband, Roger, Cheryl Headley and Rayma Young and husband, Tom, all of Paradise; grandchildren Miles, Johnna, Kevin, Daniel, Stacy, Lisa and husband, Patrick Brown, Jessica and husband, Jeremy Meador, Drake, Bradley and Kendale; great-grandchildren Ryleigh, Lillian, Madalynn and Jaidyn; sisters Martha Simmons, Flossie Hunter and Lucille Chaffin, all of Poolville, and Jean Hunter of Chico; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Meador, Kevin Stice, Tom Young, Miles Headley, Daniel Headley and Roger Stice. Honorary pallbearer is Bobby Headley.
