Penny Sue Crawford McCarty

Memorial service for Penny Sue Crawford McCarty, 51, of Bridgeport is 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.

McCarty died Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Montague County.

Born May 8, 1960, in Dallas to Mervin “Smiley” Crawford and Helen (Shaver) Montgomery, she attended Pilot Point and Henrietta schools. She married Kenneth Calvin McCarty Jr. Nov. 7, 1981.

McCarty worked in the restaurant industry and was a homemaker. She was a member of Balsora Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

She was preceded in death by her mother; and her brother, Scotty Crawford.

McCarty is survived by her husband of 30 years; daughters Wendy Williams and fiancee, Blaise Creamer, of Bridgeport and Brandy Davis and husband, Jason, of Runaway Bay; son T.J. McCarty and fianc , Kelsey Burkett, of Bridgeport; grandchildren Triston, Helen, Kynley, Tanner and Garrett; sisters Kitty Schindler and husband, Gary, Cindy Moses and husband, Jimmy, and Amy Crawford, all of Henrietta; and her father and his wife, Myrt, of Buffalo Springs.

She is also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law Kenneth and Frances McCarty of Fort Worth; brothers-in-law Dudley McCarty of Fort Worth and Scott McCarty and wife, Laura, of Ponder; step-brothers Robert Montgomery and wife, Rene of Archer City, Eddie Montgomery and wife, Robin, of Megargel, Brad Fudge and wife, Becky, of Jacksboro and Vaughn Fudge and wife, Aprille, of Jacksboro; nieces, nephews and other family members.
