Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the First Baptist Church of Lorenzo. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Lorenzo Cemetery with the Rev. Kris Knippa officiating.
A celebration of life was held at Coker-Hawkins Funeral Home in Decatur on Sept. 24.
Mrs. Joiner was born in Oklahoma on July 30, 1912, to Jessie Clemons and Margaret Caroline (Collins) Dycus. She was united in marriage to Henry Grady Joiner on Dec. 24, 1932, and they were married for 48 years until his death in 1980.
Mrs. Joiner was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Joe Robert Joiner and his wife, Patsy Ruth Law Joiner; her son Max Joiner; grandson Jimmy Don Joiner, brother Larkin Dycus, and sister Zephyr Mae Dycus Loftis.
Survivors include her daughters, Caroline Joiner Durham and husband, Bo, of Burleson; daughter-in-law Patricia Smith and her husband, A.O, of Lubbock; son Gerre Joiner and his wife, Jo, of Decatur; brothers Gene and J.C. Dycus, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of friends who will miss her deeply.
