Mayes 'Milo' Mitchell

Memorial service for Mayes “Milo” Mitchell, 78, of Krum is 2 p.m. Sunday, March 11, at the family home, 1708 Santa Fe Trail, in Krum.

Mitchell died Thursday, March 8, 2012, in Corinth.

Born April 1, 1933, in Dimmitt, he was a retired plant foreman for Gifford Hill. He married Alice Mitchell July 8, 1963, in Hereford and served in the U.S. Army.

Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife; and sister Bobbie Chester.

He is survived by sons Michael Mitchell and wife, Dorothy, of Denton, Steven Mitchell and wife, Johnette, of Collinsville and Jim Mitchell and wife, Crystal, of Krum; daughters Veta Fergueson and husband, Lee, of Elida, N.M., Lynn Redder and husband, Eric, of Lindsay and Jean Knox and husband, Mark, of Chico; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother Billy Mitchell and wife, Alice, of Roswell, N.M., and extended family.

Memorials may be made to Jim Mitchell at DATCU in memory of Milo Mitchell and will be donated to the local VFW.
