Matthew Alvus Matney

Funeral is 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with Rob Hawkins officiating.

Matthew was born Jan. 15, 1989, to Brett and DeAnn (Mayhugh) Matney in Fort Worth. He worked for R & R Welding.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Vernon Alton Mayhugh.

Survivors include his parents, Brett and DeAnn Matney of Chico; brother Patrick Matney of Chico; grandparents Jerry and Nedra Matney of Surprise, Ariz.; grandmother Mary Mayhugh of Mansfield; other family members and a host of friends.
