Mary Lois “Penny” Baisden, 73, a tax appraiser, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Decatur.
Funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport with Rick Ross officiating. Pallbearers include the members of the 301st Fuels Management Flight of the Air Force Reserve. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Penny was born July 25, 1939, to William and Nettie (Kitchens) Smith in Carlsbad, N.M. She married Clarence Douglas Baisden May 27, 2000, in Decatur. Penny was a member of the Tennessee Genealogy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Norm Holland; granddaughter LaTisha Holland; brother David Smith; and sisters Annie Mae Smith and Edna Fay Smith.
She is survived by her husband of 12 years, C.D. Baisden of Decatur; sons Robert Holland and wife, Laraine, of Chico, James Holland of Azle, Steven Camp of Corinth and Randal Camp of Corinth; daughters Barbara Rumer and husband, Boyd, and Jan Newton and husband, Robert, all of Sunset; 34 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Dwana Holland of Midred; brothers Winston Smith and wife, Barbara, of Winnsboro and Andy Smith and wife, Janett, of Decatur; sisters Rosetta Jennings of Decatur, Jennie Perkins of Lewisville and Sandy Rowland and husband, Jack, of McAlester, Okla.; sister-in-law Jo Smith of Bowie; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
