Mass of Christian burial for Linda Flusche Dill, 67, of Paradise is 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Bridgeport with Father Jacob Alvares officiating. Burial is 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo.
Dill died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Decatur.
Born April 29, 1945, in Fresno, Calif., to Norbert and Wilma Swindle Flusche, she attended school in Saint Jo and earned the Betty Crocker Award her senior year. She graduated from North Texas State University with a business education degree and married Edward Dill Aug. 27, 1967, in Saint Jo.
Dill was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Bridgeport where she was president of The Ladies’ Group, a money counter every Monday morning and participant of Movers and Shakers. She worked at Meadowgold Dairy in Fort Worth as a phone operator for eight years, Eclipse Supply Co. in Fort Worth as an accountant for 10 years and Photo Etch in Fort Worth as an accountant for 24 years.
She lived in Fort Worth for many years before building a home in Wise County, where she raised animals, fruits and vegetables. Dill had a ceramic shop where she made gifts, and her nieces stayed with her during the summer.
Dill traveled to Germany three times and the United States extensively and knew where every Cracker Barrel and Sonic were along the way. She also took photos, researched family genealogy, played card games and Keno and was in a bingo group in Saint Jo and Cottondale for many years.
Dill was preceded in death by her husband.
She is survived by son Duane Dill and wife, Kathie, of West; grandson David Dill and wife, Mikayla, of Bridgeport; great-grandchildren Landon and Kayson Dill of Eastland; sisters Mary Wisdom and husband, Johnie and LouAnn Poynor and husband, Billy, all of Saint Jo; and brother Norbert Jr. (Sonny) Flusche and wife, Lina Jo, of Saint Jo.
Pallbearers are James Lucas, Chris Burns, Chan Horne, Rodney Swirczynski, Heath Wisdom and Vincent Bell.
