Memorial service for LaDonna Ruth Beaver, 90 of Decatur will be held in California at a later date.
Beaver died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Decatur.
Born June 9, 1922, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to John William and Ethel J. (Kemper) Clipston, she moved to Spokane, Wash., for high school, then to Lawton, Okla., where she married William George Beaver in 1944.
They moved to Yucaipa, Calif., in 1944 where she lived for 63 years before moving to Decatur in 2010. She worked for Hale and Greenslate Hardware, the Department of Forestry and as a purchasing agent at McNally Egg Ranch in Yucaipa for 30 years. Beaver raised Dachsunds.
She is survived by sons William Harold Beaver and wife, Suzanne, of Desert Hot Springs, Calif., and David Alonzo Beaver and wife, Karen, of Decatur; grandsons William Clark Beaver of Germany, Edward Ellis Beaver of Arizona and Stephen Alonzo Beaver of Decatur; and great-grandchildren Justin Alonzo Beaver of Banning, Calif., Jeremy Arthur Beaver of San Bernardino, Calif., and Elias Germayer Beaver and Cheyenne LaDonna Beaver, both of Germany.
