Judy was born June 8, 1943, to John and Juanita Akers in Fort Worth. A graduate of Eastern Hills High School, class of 1961, she worked at Texas New Mexico Power Co. as an executive secretary and later at World Bible Translation Center as an administrative assistant. She was a member of Richland Hills Church of Christ in North Richland Hills.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Alan Carl Crane, of Decatur; sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry Lane West and wife, Sandra Gray West, of North Richland Hills, and Brett Wayne West and wife, Mindy Bickers West, of Decatur; eight grandchildren and many extended family members who loved her dearly.
She was known as “Grammy” to her grandchildren, and they were her pride and joy. She was a gracious and selfless person, always placing the needs of others above her own. Judy’s life was a light to many and the scriptures found in Proverbs 31:25-31 are a fitting description.
