Funeral for Jim R. Boothe, 70, of Keller was July 30 at First Baptist Church of Keller.

Boothe died Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Keller.

Born Feb. 17, 1942, in Ballinger to Harmon Foster Boothe and Willie Odessa Boothe, he graduated from New Deal High School and enrolled in Texas Tech University. He served in the U.S. Army as a chaplain’s assistant in Germany.

Boothe was a bank examiner, bank vice president and president of First National Bank of Rhome. He opened an insurance agency in 1989 and was ordained a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Keller in 1984.

He watched granddaughter Madeline perform, drove a golfcart with grandson Nicholas and spent time outdoors with his dogs and horses.

Boothe is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue Alice Willett Boothe; daughter D’Ann Burrow and husband, Steve; grandchildren Madeline Burrow and Nicholas Burrow; his mother; brother Kenneth Boothe and wife, Earlene; and extended family.

Memorials may be made to Rocky Top Therapy Center, 660 Keller Smithfield Road, Keller, TX 76244.
