Jerry Curtis Buckingham, 76, a farmer and rancher, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Chico.

Funeral was Nov. 16 at the First Baptist Church in Chico with Bro. Ken Hedstrom officiating, and burial followed at Chico Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Curtis Ryan Roberts, Jared Curtis Hilgendorf, Andy Hardee, Bob Gnagy, Chris Barnes and Darryl James.

Jerry was born March 12, 1936, to Charles and Ruth (Hunter) Buckingham in Chico. He married Beth Meek July 21, 1961, in Chico. Jerry served his country in the Navy Reserves. He was plant manager for Gifford Hill for more than 20 years and was also a farmer and rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beth; daughter Jodi Sue Buckingham; and sisters Virginia Barnes and Charlene Gnagy.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeri Ann Roberts of Chico and Jana Ruth Duke of Fort Worth; grandchildren Curtis Ryan Roberts and wife, Brittany, of Keller, Jamie Lee Roberts of Chico, Jaclyn Elizabeth Hardee and husband, Andy, of Springtown, Jessica Dawn Roberts of Chico, and Jared Curtis Hilgendorf of Fort Worth; other family members and a host of friends.
