James Harold Simpson

Funeral for James Harold Simpson, 93, of Boyd is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Christian-Hawkins Funeral Home in Boyd. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville.

Simpson died Thursday, June 14, 2012, in Collinsville.

Born May 16, 1919, in Cooke County to Richard and Pearl (Allen) Simpson, he was a retired assembler for Bell Helicopter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he married Nelwyn Curry March 18, 1965, in Durant, Okla.

Simpson was preceded in death by brothers Alvin, William and Richard Simpson.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years; sons Dale Simpson and wife, Frances, of Azle and David Clement and wife, Carol, of Denison; daughters Barbara Evans of Baytown, Vickie Farrell and husband, Marion, of Sherman, Becky Enderby and husband, Carroll, of Tioga and Darlene Bischel and husband, Ken, of Boyd; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers are Dale Simpson, Zach Simpson, R.J. Simpson, Kasey Bischel, Shane Crosley, Lee Clement and David Clement.
