Jack Garrison Sr., 91, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, in Decatur.
Funeral was Sept. 22 at the First Baptist Church in Alvord with a graveside service at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth under the direction of White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Jack was born Aug. 8, 1921, to S.R. and Grace (Seamster) Garrison in Fort Worth. He attended Diamond Hill High School in Fort Worth and served in the United States Army as an anti-aircraft gunner during World War II.
Jack married Marguerite Hardaway Aug. 7, 1943, in Springtown. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and caring for his farm animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one sister; and one brother.
He is survived by his children, Jack Garrison Jr. and wife, Melinda, of Sunset and Judy Dreitz and husband, Benny, of Fort Worth; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
