Henry Adams

Graveside service for Henry Adams, 89, of Justin was June 1 at Justin Cemetery.

Adams died Sunday, May 27, 2012.

Born Sept. 16, 1922, in Oakhurst to George and Ethel White, he served in the U.S. Army on the Mars Task Force, 124 Calvary in the China, Burma and India Theater, where he received four Bronze Stars. Adams raised doves and built things.

He was preceded in death by brother James Taylor; sister Delois McDaniel; and grandson Mark Pitts.

Adams is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy; son James Clinton Adams and wife, Ginger, of Burleson; daughters Carolyn Pitts and husband, Lloyd, of Rhome, Nancy Adams of Justin, Darlene Faught of Keller and Gaylon Stuebing and husband, Glen, of Flower Mound; sisters Tinnie Cross of Henderson, Nev., and Tina Young of West Linn, Ore.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and extended family.
