Emory Everett Boaldin, 81, a retired supervisor for General Dynamics, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, in Decatur.

Funeral was Oct. 30 at Newark Church of Christ with burial in Dido Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jason Boaldin, Sean Boaldin, Sammy Wager, Nathan Boaldin, Grand Jones and Kris Barber.

Emory was born May 19, 1931, in Elkhart, Kan., to Emory and Helen (Neal) Boaldin. He married Myrtle Christine Massey on Christmas Eve in 1949 in Fort Worth.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Boaldin of Newark; sons James Russell Boaldin and wife, Debbie, of Denton, Michael Wayne Boaldin and wife, Janice, of Newark, and Bobby Brent Boaldin and wife, Michelle, of North Little Rock, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Dixie Cotton; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Gloria Blasingame.
