Donnie ‘Don’ Womack

Funeral for Donnie “Don” Womack, 79, of New Braunfels was Aug. 14 at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels with burial 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Boonsville Cemetery in Wise County.

Womack died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.

Born Dec. 7, 1932, in Ingleside to William and Ora Mae (Morris) Womack, he married Nedra Tanner Nov. 7, 1959. Womack served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 and in the Merchant Marines. He was a retired Ditch WItch employee.

He was preceded in death by siblings Marie Womack, Roylee Womack, Claudia Mae Handy, Loyd Womack and Leona Jackson.

Womack is survived by his wife; sons Ron Womack and wife, Ramona, of New Braunfels and Mike Womack and wife, Kelly, of Ruston, La.; brother Billy Womack and wife, Norma, of Chico; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
