Charles F. Calvert, 76, of Decatur died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, in Decatur.
Funeral was Aug. 31 at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Horton officiating. Burial was at Paradise Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Jim Henderson, Bob Stallard, Rick Read, Dennis Hudson, Robert Troxell and Ralph Smith.
Charles was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Wise County to Claude Card and Elva (Parr) Calvert. He married Peggy Joyce Read Jan. 21, 1956, in Bridgeport. Charles was owner of Calvert Electric for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Peggy Joyce Calvert; daughter Pam Horton and husband, David; and son Mark Calvert, all of Decatur; brother Shelton Calvert of Chandler; sister Mattie Herrin of Plano; grandchildren Brenden Horton and Misty Meyer; great-grandchildren Lane and Aaron Meyer and Quinnten Gober.
