Woodhaven National Bank announced that Wise County native Dorothy Shepherd has been promoted to senior vice president of the bank’s Rhome branch.
Shepherd has been with the Rhome location since it opened in 2001, overseeing security and operations. In 2005, she was promoted to vice president. Shepherd has worked for Myers Bancshares since starting her banking career in 1984 and is in charge of security, new deposits accounts and branch operations. She is certified in new accounts and IRA operations and holds a Group One insurance license to sell annuities.
A graduate of Boyd High School, Shepherd has lived in Boyd her entire life and has been married to Kenny Shepherd, a self-employed farmer, for 39 years. The couple has two sons, Kenneth Shepherd Jr., who lives in Boyd with his family, and Justin Shepherd, who lives in Romania. Both work for Weatherford International.
Shepherd is a current board member for the Wise County United Way.
