ENERGY worldnet Inc. of Decatur will host its Annual Conference and Expo next Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 2-3 at the Decatur Civic Center.
The conference is a gathering place for energy industry professionals to focus on energy, utilities and safety – but it is also open to the public for anyone interested in energy issues, particularly safety, in the Barnett Shale.
The conference kicks off at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday with registration and a welcome from Energy WorldNet’s Chief Operating Officer Geoff Isbell. Civic Center Director Lori Sherwood and Mayor Martin Woodruff will also welcome the group. Speakers include:
- Eric Giguere, who was buried alive while working on a pipeline in 2002;
- DeWitt Burdeaux, director of safety and compliance for Quicksilver Resources in Fort Worth;
- Kelli Riddle of Magellan Midstream Partners of Tulsa;
- and Randy Donaldson, who was manager of western operations for Alagasco, the gas utility in Alabama, when more than 137 tornadoes hit the area in April 2011.
Other EWN staff will also speak, and the conference will feature technical roundtables, networking and social events including a Tuesday reception at Reunion on the Square, and a “Cowboy Breakfast” on Wednesday.
Registration for both days is $50, and lunch is additional. For more information, call Sally Reiger at 1-855-396-5267 or visit http://conference.energyworldnet.com.
