Morning light

Life is a solitary journey. The only certainty along the way is the certainty that it will one day end.

Opaque rays pour through a misty morning. A sole soul wanders through an empty park listening to ghostly echoes of laughter, feeling out uncertain traces of tears smeared into fog. A horizon fades to white. The figure moves like one taking tentative steps into afterlife.

Our roaming photographer captured this image at a city park in Houston.

The fog provided an interesting backdrop and created a lonesome melancholy. Shooting it in a park, a place associated with people and companionship, added to the sense of isolation.
