Commissioners approved a full, 90-day burn ban for Wise County Monday morning at their regular meeting. The move was made at the recommendation of Fire Marshal Marc Dodd, and it’s effective immediately. According to a bill passed by the state legislature in June,
the fire marshal or county judge is authorized to lift the ban at any time if conditions improve.
