Nelson blanks Eagles

After making the first playoff appearance in the program’s history last year, the Decatur Eagles soccer team began the season with a 3-0 loss to Byron Nelson Tuesday.

Decatur managed just one shot from Zach Johnson.

Freshman keeper Wade Laughlin made 15 saves and allowed two goals.

The Eagles tried to even their record Friday at home against Frisco Lonestar.
