Led by a pair of second-place finishes by the relay team of Hayley Raasch, Audrey McCreary, Katey Rowden and Haley Dennard, the Decatur Lady Eagles finished third Saturday at the Hebron Invite.
The foursome swam 2:02.96 in the 200-yard medley relay. The team finished the 200 freestyle in 1:48.32.
The Decatur girls finished with 224 points. Plano West topped the field of 16 girls teams with 575.5.
The Decatur boys scored 15 to finish 15th.
The Lady Eagles’ quartet of Emily Howdeshell, Baley Phariss, Kate Grant and Reagan Ralston finished 11th in the 200 medley relay in 2:25.57.
Grant, Guirnalda Lopez, Howdeshell and Madison Phariss took 11th in the 400 freestyle relay in 4:58.47.
Rowden turned in the Lady Eagles’ top individual performances. She won the 50 freestyle in 25.91 and took second in the 100 freestyle in 56.58.
Dennard finished fifth in the 200 freestyle in 2:14.42 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.11.
Grant took fifth in the 500 freestyle in 6:20.52. She was ninth in the 200 in 2:22.38.
McCreary finished fifth in the 200 individual medley in 2:33.81.
Howdeshell swam 6:55.51 to take ninth in the 500 freestyle. She was 13th in the 100 backstroke in 1:24.92.
Lopez was 15th in the 50 freestyle in 31.39 and Madison Phariss 25th in 36.17. Madison Phariss also took 20th in the 100 backstroke in 1:38.12.
Ralston took 23rd in the 100 freestyle in 1:12.66 and Baley Phariss 25th in 1:14.77. Baley Phariss was 17th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:29.39 and Ralston 20th in 1:35.6.
For the Decatur boys, Arin Blaylock finished ninth in the 100 butterfly in 1:04.93. He was 16th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:18.54.
Logan Huff was 12th in the 50 freestyle in 25.87 and 19th in the 100 in 1:00.46.
