Laura Pewitt and Bill French of Denton were married May 19, 2011, at Bell Tower Chapel and Garden in Fort Worth. The Rev. Sonny Smith officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of David and Sherry Pewitt of Bridgeport.
The groom is the son of Fred and Gloria French of San Antonio.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, white satin dress with a waterfall skirt and silver-beaded embellishment at the waist. Her veil was made by Joan Smith, mother of the maid of honor.
The bride carried a bouquet of white roses and a green calla lily. Attached to the bouquet was a ring for her grandmother, designed by her great-grandmother.
Maid of honor was Kristie Smith of Lewisville. Bridesmaid was Kristin Smith of Denton. Honor attendants wore sage-green strapless dresses.
Flower girl was Maddie Owen of Hurst, daughter of Lis and Christian Owen.
Best man was Andy French of Denton, brother of the groom. Groomsman was Aaron Kennedy of Denton.
Ushers were Bailey French of Denton, son of the groom, and Kalyb Brown of Bridgeport, nephew of the bride.
Music was by Melodies and Memories.
A reception hosted by the bride’s parents followed the ceremony at Bell Tower Chapel and Garden in Fort Worth.
The bride will graduate from the University of North Texas with a master’s degree in finance in May 2012. She is employed by Sam’s in Lewisville.
The groom is a manager at OfficeMax in Lewisville.
Following a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, the couple reside in Denton.
