Funeral for Hollis W. Jones, 82, of Decatur, was to be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at First Baptist Church of Decatur. The Revs. Gene Smith and Ken May were to officiate, and burial was to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Jones died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, in Decatur.
Born July 18, 1929, in Choctaw, Okla., to John Waymon and Mandy (Pool) Jones, he married Sue Roberts Aug. 10, 1973, in Lubbock. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a businessman and entrepreneur.
Jones was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife; daughters Holly Hodges and husband, Leon, of Keller, and Amanda Harvey and husband, Chad, Patti North and Penny Bowles and husband, Austin, all of Decatur; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were to be Lyndon Harvey, J. K. Miller, Ben Hill, Darrell McCandless, Scott Siegmund, Harold Westermier, Kelley Tibbels, Juan Martinez and Terry Johnson.
