Wilson_Frances_Ruth.jpgFuneral for Frances Ruth Wilson, 92, of Weatherford is 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, at White’s Funeral Home in Springtown. Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery. Visitation was to be 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Wilson died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011, in Weatherford.

Born July 25, 1918, near Cottondale to James Loyd and Ella Frances Read Bivens, she married Thomas Jefferson “Hack” Wilson, also of Cottondale, Dec. 24, 1938. The couple moved south of Boyd and established a farm that they worked together until Tom’s death in 1987. Frances continued to farm, raise cattle and oversee operation of Wilson Farm on her own into the 21st century.

She is survived by children Gloria Bedford and husband, Melvin, of Springtown, Thomas Wilson and wife, Margie, of Boyd and Treva Wilson of Fort Worth; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
