Funeral for Donald Alford Lee, 81, of Keller was Nov. 29 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial followed at Pleasant Grove Cemetery No. 3 in Chico.

Lee died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, in Keller.

Born July 11, 1930, in Albany, Ky., to Walter and Fannie (Meek) Lee, he joined the Air Force in 1946 at the age of 16 after getting his sister to alter his birth date in the family Bible. He served eight years and earned the rank of 2nd lieutenant.

Lee married Sylvia (Brownie) Lumsden Sept. 1, 1951, in Decatur. He worked in the printing industry for 60 years and was known as “The Old Man.” He met and talked to people, told jokes and stories on his back porch, hunted, fished and was a Texas Rangers fan.

He was preceded in death by brother Kenneth Lee.

Lee is survived by his wife; sons Stephen Lee and wife, Jeannine, and Nick Lee; daughters Megan Lee and Sheri Tull and husband, Donny; grandchildren Donny Tull III and wife, Michelle, Stefanie Spivey and husband, Kevin, Hollie Barris, Amie Forehand and husband, Scott, Christie Aubel and husband, Jason, and Joshua Tull; great-grandchildren Danny Tull IV, Alaina Spivey and Ashley and Darren Tull; and sisters Oleen Evans and Inez Poore.
