WISE NOTES FOR CONSUMERS

Take the drive to Greenwood

As you look forward to the many community activities taking place in October, there is one event in particular that I encourage you to attend.

The Greenwood Fall Festival, sponsored by the Greenwood Extension Education Club, is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8. You’ll enjoy a parade beginning at 10 a.m., and immediately following the parade, handcrafted arts and craft booths will be open. Featured activities will be children’s train rides, food and game booths and door prizes. Booth space is available for $10 by calling Gerry Galloway at (940) 466-7997 or Marilynn Collins at (940) 627-5175.

Greenwood is a short, scenic drive out of Decatur. Go north on Farm Road 51 for 10 miles to Farm Road 1204, then turn left and travel approximately five miles into the community of Greenwood.

To obtain more information on any of the activities discussed, call the Extension office at (940) 627-3341.
