“Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect.
Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.”
– Chief Seattle

Growing hands and sock-covered feet carefully scramble along a web as big as imagination, as big as life.

One tremble on a strand reverberates through the entire structure. The vibrations echo circular, reaching through intricate connections to the source of the tremors.

Go forth brave but be aware young man. Your own footsteps haunt you.

All actions possess an inter-connectivity. All life shares a common spark.

Our roaming photographer snagged the shot of Hayden Nelson and Chase McKee, both 10 of Bridgeport, early last Saturday evening at Bridgeport’s Spooktacular Fall Festival. Two kids tromping on the giant web that served as a bean bag toss made a perfect Halloween-themed shot. But it also captured a moment in, and symbolized steps into, the larger, more delicate web of life.
