Local Fort Worth Stock Show results

It’s that time of year again: Stock Show season! Last weekend in Fort Worth, Wise County youth participated in the dairy goat show, longhorn show and the goat judging contest. Participants did a fantastic job showing and even taught me a few things about their projects!

Daniel_Chrissy.jpgIf you have the opportunity, take a trip to the stock show and rodeo. Between the animals in the barns, the Farm Bureau “Plant Agriculture” display and the fantastic shopping in the exhibit hall, there is something for everyone in your family!

Eight teams made up of three or four individuals represented Wise County 4-H in the goat judging contest. The second-place team consisted of Dalton Meadows, Cody Kimbro, Olivia Bettesworth and Aaron Wellborn.

In third place were Amber Orr, Shelby Simmons, Miracle Petree and Cheyanne Dollins. The seventh-place team consisted of Michaela Cross, Keaton Vawter, Thaine Laaser and Carson Read.

In ninth place were Kara Demitt, Bailey Morris, Haylee Barksdale and Chase Long. In fourteenth place were Christian Cross, Clayton Egle and Morgan Williams.

Individual placings include: third place, Dalton Meadows; fifth place, Keaton Vawter; seventh place, Cheyanne Dollins; eighth place, Aaron Wellborn; 12th place, Miracle Petree; 14th place, Bailey Morris; 16th place, Logan McNamara; 19th place, Amber Orr; and 22nd place, Christian Cross.
