4-Hers compete in State Dog Show

Six youth from Wise County competed in the State 4-H Dog Show in Belton July 8-10. Tori Lobdell, Angela Blankenship, Kendall Vawter, Keaton Vawter, Carson Webster and Shelby Rooker worked with their dogs all year long with the goal of competing in the state show.

Tori and her dog, Jasper, received first in drill – traditional, first in drill – freestyle, fourth in rally obedience, fifth in conformation, sixth in showmanship and first in obedience. They also participated in the costume contest and the agility class.

Angela and her dog, Hershey, received first in drill – traditional, first in drill – freestyle, seventh in conformation, ninth in showmanship and sixth in obedience.

Kendall and her dog, Deana, received first in drill – traditional, first in drill – freestyle, ninth in costume, third in rally obedience, third in conformation, fourth in showmanship and second in obedience.

Keaton and his dog, Sandy, received first in drill – traditional, first in drill – freestyle, ninth in costume, first in rally obedience, ninth in conformation, fourth in showmanship and second in obedience.

Carson and her dog, Marble, received first in drill – traditional, first in drill – freestyle, 10th in costume, fourth in rally obedience, ninth in conformation, fourth in showmanship and fourth in obedience. They also participated in the agility class.

Shelby and her dog, Alex, received second in costume, sixth in showmanship and fifth in obedience. They also participated in the conformation class.
