A Slidell man was sentenced to four years in prison Monday for possession of child pornography.

Kenneth Dale Chase, 50, was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Fort Worth by Judge Terry R. Means. After pleading guilty in May to one count of possession of child pornography, Chase faced up to 10 years in prison.

Means also ordered that Chase register as a sex offender and serve a lifetime of supervised release after he has served his jail sentence.

Images and video of child pornography were found on a computer disk in Chase’s car in January 2008. Investigators then found additional images of minor females forced to engage in sexual intercourse with adult males. Chase later admitted that between Jan. 15 and Feb. 7, 2008, he downloaded images of child pornography.

The FBI assisted the Wise County Sheriff’s Department during the investigation.
