Gin-Henry-001.jpgA family memorial service for Virginia “Gin” Ann Mooney Henry, 60, of Gainesville was May 31 at the Stanford House.

Henry died Friday, May 28, 2010, in Gainesville.

Born Oct. 17, 1949, in Decatur to Mary Jo Hopson and H.M. Mooney Jr., she was the ninth child of the couple. She married Larry D. Henry March 26, 1976, in Gainesville, where they lived their entire married life. Henry taught at Gainesville school district and North Central Texas College. She read books, taught country western dancing and collected antiques.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas Michael Mooney and H.M. (Tim) Mooney III.

Henry is survived by her husband; brothers, Dudley Mooney of Santo and Mart Mooney and wife, Linda, of Decatur; sisters, Laura Brewer and husband, Doug, of Gainesville, Mary Hubbard and husband, Arvel, of Decatur, Nell Hess of Lindsay, Dana Williams and husband, Jimmie, of Greenwood, Molly Crawshaw and husband, Glenn, of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; and sister-in-law, Meradith Mooney Smith of Colorado; nieces and nephews; and other extended families.
