Funeral for Mary Ruth Singleton, 83, of Perrin was May 26 at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with burial at Perrin Memorial Gardens.

Singleton died Saturday, May 23, 2010.

Born March 29, 1927, in Clovis, N.M., to Joseph and Sina Mae Watson Hale, she was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Perrin. She collected arrowheads and rocks, played gospel music and played the guitar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T.F. Singleton, and a son, Keith Singleton.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary George of Chico and Linda Lawrence of Mineral Wells; sons, Larry Singleton and Richard Singleton, both of Perrin, and John Lynn Singleton of Gordon; brother, Jody Hale of Wichita Falls; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
