J.L.(Red)-Teal-Photo.jpgFuneral for J.L. “Red” Teal Jr., 74, of Weatherford was to be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at White’s Funeral Home in Springtown. Burial was to be at Aurora Cemetery.

Teal died Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

Born Oct. 21, 1935, in Fort Worth to Jesse Lee and Opal Drain Teal, he was a longtime resident of Parker County. He was a race horse breeder and trainer. He was a retired truck driver for ICX Motor Freight. He was an endowed member of the Joplin Masonic Lodge No. 939.

He was preceded in death by four sisters and a grandson.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Teal; sons, Sammy Teal and wife, Donna, of Forth Worth and formerly of Wise County, and Richard Teal and wife, Dana, of Fort Worth; daughters, Ann Eustace and husband, Fred, and Lisa White, all of Fort Worth; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
