Funeral for Flora Belle Lambert, 86, of Denton was June 21 at Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in Denton with burial in Plainview Cemetery in Krum.
Lambert died Friday, June 18, 2010, in Denton.
Born Nov. 20, 1923, in Gunter to Thomas Clinton and Olive (Harris) Jones, she married Lloyd Adam Lambert Aug. 9, 1941. She retired from Texas Woman’s University as a housekeeper and went on to work as a cook at the Denton State School. She was a member of the East Side Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Nov. 4, 1990; grandson, Ricky Crisp; sister, Cora Oakley; and brothers, Gansford Jones, Ed Jones and Bobby Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Flora Ann Crisp and husband, Johnny, of Slidell, Reba Bowers and husband, Joe, of Denton and Betty McKinney of Lewisville; sisters, Tommie Popham, Nyla Maxwell, Threeca Vandagriff and Linda Colston; grandchildren, Flora Belle Crisp and Katy Longworth and husband, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Jason Whitaker and wife, Ashley, Jennifer Breedlove and husband, TJ, Tasha Carter and Chelsea Crisp; and great-great-grandchildren, Logan and Landon Whitaker and Jamie Breedlove.
Pallbearers were Glen Maxwell, Bobby Popham, Sonny Gilmer, Tommy Cotchrell, Eddie Cross and Randy Sons.
