PierceElizabethBW.jpgFuneral for Elizabeth Ann (Hard) Pierce, 52, of Sanger was June 15 at the First Baptist Church in Sanger with Dr. E.L. McNeal officiating. She was buried at Bethel Cemetery in Whitewright.

Pierce died Friday, June 11, 2010, in Denton.

Born Feb. 5, 1958, in McAllen to Milville Ross and Evelyn Ruthel (Bankhead) Hard, she married Charles Henry “Chuck” Pierce July 11, 1981, in Brownwood. She taught at Valley View and retired after six years in the Slidell school district. Pierce was a member of First Baptist Church in Sanger, the Tau Beta Sigma sorority and was a Howard Payne University alumna.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Rebekah Jane Pierce of Lubbock; sons, Charles Robert Pierce, Jacob Ross Pierce and Joshua Dan Pierce, all of Sanger; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Shannon Pierce of Whitewright; brother-in-law, Billy Dan “B.D.” Pierce of Frisco; and a niece and nephew.

Pallbearers were teaching colleagues, Cody Vanover, Marsha Griggs, Kristi Hankins, Darlene Hamm, Sandra Romo, Shanelle Wagner, Cheryl Bostic, Tanya Chaney, Joan Ricketts, Joan Johnson, Tracy Reeves, Charland Stephens, Judy Stutt, Dan Wood, Paula Bland, Bobbie Hanford and Lindee Hand.
