Kim Tinkham of Boyd, publisher of Wise Woman magazine, has received the first Civility Star Award from the South Central Chapter of the Association of Image Consultants International.

Deborah King with the South Central Chapter said Tinkham was selected based on her support of businesses in her area.

“Her passion for educating, motivating and connecting local business owners to support each other and keep business local is truly a model of civility,” said King. “Kim is a master of connecting people and building relationships among the community, always speaking the best of everyone and demonstrating the principles of civility.”

Through Tink Ink Publications, Tinkham launched her first magazine, Wise Youth Today, in 2004. She created Wise Woman magazine last year to “inspire, inform and celebrate working women in North Texas.”

“This award is truly an honor,” said Tinkham. “It is wonderful to be recognized by AICI and know that I am making a difference.”
