The lines go on forever. Fantastic, polished, bright curves blend over red hot black and gray asphalt. Flashing streams of reflected white light guides the eyes in indefinite semicircles.

A photographer knows that red, even in a simple image, can captivate the viewer.

The color conjures love, hunger, nourishment, life, danger and death, the extremities of life’s experiences.

Last Saturday, our roaming photographer visited Cruise Night at the Square in Decatur. The automobile holds a sacred rank in Americana. It represents freedom, energy, ingenuity and independence, the epitome of American values. And the road goes on forever.
