Texas AgriLife Extension’s Wise County office is planning a youth water camp (WCH2O Camp) on Tuesday, June 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Decatur. The camp is offered to youth who are 10-12 years of age. The camp is free, but participants are asked to bring a sack lunch.

WCH2O Camp will make youth aware of current water issues and assist them with developing an appreciation of how water use impacts water quality and quantity. The camp features hands-on activities that will focus on: Water and You; Enviroscapes; Rainwater Harvesting; Water Quality Testing; Rainfall Simulator; Microinverabrates; and finally H2O Games. Activities will be led by Texas AgriLife Extension Service specialists and other water resource experts.

For more information and to sign up for this free WCH2O Camp call the Extension office at (940) 627-3341. Space is limited.
